Three Games - Three Days - Three States (3G3D3S) is exactly that -- we go to three Major League or Minor League baseball games in three days in three different states. We even have two CD soundtracks (2000 & 2002) and t-shirts! Check out the Who's Going section below for ticket availability and let me know if you want in.

Friday, June 18

2:30-2:45 PM - 

 Meet at the Augustine residence (optional). Unlike previous years, you will be mailed your ticket(s) ahead of time and will be in charge of your own transportation. So if you can't or don't want to meet at the Augustine's, no problem.
  

3:00 PM - 

Leave for Busch Stadium, St. Louis, MO.

Walkie-Talkies

Those of you who have walkie-talkies, like the Motorola Talkabout (right), please bring them. Each car will have one. We'll all tune to channel 8 (no privacy code) so we can communicate during the drive.

Hennings Parking Option

We're going to try something new this year. When the Hennings go to a Cardinal game, they park for free at a casino on the Illinois side of the river. Then they take the train ($2.50 per person round trip) to the stadium. The train leaves every 10 minutes. The advantage is we won't have to wait to get out of the stadium parking garage after the game.

Directions from Bloomington/Normal, IL, to the Stadium Parking Garage

  1. I-55 South
  2. Take the I-70 West / Memorial Drive exit
  3. Take the Memorial Drive exit, exit number 251B, towards Arch-Riverfront / Convention Center
  4. Merge onto South Memorial Drive
  5. Turn left onto Market Street
  6. Park in a parking garage across the street from the stadium | Parking map
7:10 PM -  Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals
  

After the game - 

Drive back home.

What to Bring
  Your baseball game tickets! Tailgating food if Tracie asked you to bring something -- all other tailgating food will be provided, including brats and hamburgers
  Overnight bag Beverages for tailgating -- unlike previous years, soda and water will not be provided
  Chair to sit on while tailgating

  3. Turn LEFT onto US-30. 2.6 miles
  4. Stay straight to go onto IL-59/N DIVISION ST. Continue to follow IL-59 N. 13.6 miles
  5. Merge onto E WEST TOLLWAY/I-88 W via the ramp- on the left (Portions toll). 3.8 miles
  6. Take the NORTH FARNSWORTH AVE exit. 0.3 miles
  7. Merge onto CR-77. 4.7 miles

  3. Take the I-43 South exit to go to Beloit (mile marker 4)
  4. I-43 ends. Get on I-39 South / I-90 East to Illinois
  5. Follow I-39 South all the way to Bloomington
