6:15 PM -  Augustine residence doors open. Show up early so you have enough time to get comfortable, and so we can start the movie on time.

7:00 PM - 

Watch a baseball movie at the Augustine residence. Popcorn, sweets, and drinks provided!

Friday, July 26

2:30 PM - 

 Meet at the Augustine residence.

3:00 PM - 

Leave for Busch Stadium, St. Louis, MO.

Directions:

  1. I-55 South
  2. Take the I-70 West / Memorial Drive exit
  3. Take the Memorial Drive exit, exit number 251B, towards Arch-Riverfront / Convention Center
  4. Merge onto South Memorial Drive
  5. Turn left onto Market Street
  6. Park in parking garage across the street from the stadium

Transportation:

14 of us are going round trip.

Rental mini van (capacity: 6 people)
Crill's mini van (capacity: 6 people)
Augustine's Jeep Cherokee (capacity: 4 people)

Laurie and Anna will be driving separate.

 
7:10 PM -  Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals

After the game - 

Drive back to Normal, IL, and stay overnight at the Augustine residence if you need to.

Saturday, July 27

What To Bring:

For the whole weekend...

  • Those of you who have walkie-talkies, like the Motorola Talkabout (right), please bring them. Each car will have one. We'll all tune to channel 8 (no privacy code) so we can communicate during the drive.

Those going to the Brewer game on Sunday...

  • Pack light. Space is limited.
  • Bring a chair to sit on while tailgating.
  • Food, soda, and bottled water will be provided -- brats, hamburgers, and much much more. If you want something other than soda and water to drink, bring your own beverage (BYOB).

1:30 PM - 

Meet at the Augustine residence.

2:00 PM - 

Leave for Comiskey Park, Chicago, IL.

Directions:
  1. I-55 North
  2. Take the I-94 East/Ryan Expressway exit 294 toward Indiana
  3. Merge onto I-94 East, taking the local lanes
  4. Take the 35th Street exit
  5. Go straight on Wentworth to 37th Street
  6. Turn right on 37th street
  7. Park in lot E, F or L. Parking costs $13

In the event that the 35th street exit is temporarily closed due to heavy traffic, exit at 39th street and turn right onto 39th street. Follow signs for alternate routes to Sox Parking.

Transportation:

Ten of us will be making the round trip to Chicago, then Milwaukee, and then back to the Augustine residence. We'll all go in the rental mini van (6 people) and Augustine's Jeep Cherokee (4 people). Everyone else is on their own.

To cover the cost of the rental mini van, we're asking that each round tripper pay $20. Tracie and I will pay for gas.

9:45 AM - 

Meet in the hotel parking lot.

(If you can't meet us in the hotel parking lot, we'll have a cell phone with us: 309-531-3118. Call us after 10:30 AM and we can tell you where in the Miller Park parking lot we are. We should be in the Preferred Parking lots across the highway (US 41) from the Miller Park outfield. If you can't find us, meet us in the park at game time.)

10:00 AM - 

Leave for Miller Park together.

Directions:

  1. I-94 East to Miller Park Way
  2. Follow the signs for Preferred Parking. The Preferred Parking lots are across the highway (US 41) from the Miller Park outfield. Parking costs $12.

When we get there - 

Tail gate in the Miller Park parking lot (lunch).

Tail Gaiting:

  • Bring a chair! The asphalt is hot and uncomfortable.
  • Food, soda, and bottled water will be provided -- brats, hamburgers, and much much more. If you want something other than soda and water to drink, bring your own beverage (BYOB).

Colorado Rockies vs. Milwaukee Brewers

  3. Take the I-43 South exit to go to Beloit (mile marker 4)
  4. I-43 ends. Get on I-39 South / I-90 East to Illinois
  5. Follow I-39 South all the way to Bloomington

Friday, July 26, St. Louis Cardinal Game: 16 right field bleacher seat tickets have been purchased for $13 each. Busch Stadium seating chart.

Saturday, July 27, Chicago White Sox Game: 18 upper deck box seat tickets have been purchased for $22 each. We saw the fireworks show from this vantage point last year. It's awesome! Comiskey Park seating chart.

Sunday, July 28, Milwaukee Brewer Game: For the third year in a row, we are going to participate in the group ticket sales program. That means our name will be in lights again! A "Welcome 3 Games 3 Days 3 States" message will appear on the video screen at Miller Park.
