Friday, June 2, St. Louis Cardinal Game: 11 bleacher seat tickets have been purchased for $11 each: Section 507 Row 9 Seats 3-8 and 5 tickets in Row 22 (Busch Stadium seating chart). All tickets are accounted for. If you still want to go, you'll have to purchase your own tickets.
Saturday, June 3, Chicago Cub Game: 12 tickets have been purchased for $13.77 each: Section 538 Row 7 Seats 5-10 and Row 8 Seats 7-12 (Wrigley Field seating chart). All tickets are accounted for. If you still want to go, you'll have to purchase your own tickets.
As you can see from the seating chart, our tickets are about as far away from home plate as you can get. Let me explain. The first day of ticket sales, there was a limit of 8 tickets per person per game. I asked a couple people what they thought and we decided that it was important we all sit together. We decided to wait until the second day of sales when there would be no restrictions and I could purchased 12 tickets at one time.
Just for fun, late the first day of sales, I checked ticketmaster.com to see how things were going. To my surprise, when I asked for 6 tickets, the closest seats they could offer me were in Section 538. I went into panic mode and bought 2 sets of 6 tickets under two different identities. It's a good thing I did too. Checking ticketmaster.com early the second day of sales revealed that 6 tickets couldn't be purchased together because the game was almost sold out!
We got lucky and our 2 sets of 6 tickets are right next to each other. However, I learned a valuable lesson for next year. Never underestimate the demand for Saturday afternoon Chicago Cubs tickets. Next year, I'll buy tickets the first day no matter what and, if we get enough people to go, I may even be able to participate in the Cubs' Group Ticket Sales program.
Sunday, June 4, Milwaukee Brewer Game: 25 bleacher seat tickets have been purchased for $5 each: Section E Rows 5, 6, and 7 (County Stadium seating chart). Many of the tickets are not accounted for, so let me know if you want to go. Bleacher seating is flexible. If more than 25 people want to go, something can be worked out -- day of game ticket purchases, etc.
St. Louis ($11 / ticket) Chicago ($13.77 / ticket) Milwaukee ($5 / ticket)
